Free indicative article on Laughlin china

Was so disappointed when the product arrived flawed (this was a gift for my son & his girlfriend, tried to give them a set of four mugs). The handle was cracked and there were white flaws on the pink paint. However, the customer service at Amazon emailed that I didn’t have to send the flawed products back, they would send hand-selected replacements in perfect condition. I really appreciated that.
Anyone know anything about maker marks on china?
I have inherited a 12 place setting of china that has a crest with an "N" in the middle of it...but I dont know what china Laughlin china maker had that mark? There is also a marking on the back that has "Taylor, Smith, Taylor" on it..I am assuming that this is the personal mark of the person making each piece? I have two sets of Homer Laughlin china. These sets of china where all my grandparents and I love them all. I am just curious who manufactored the first set.
