Although they are a bit smaller than the usual tea cup size, they are very cute. They are very nicely made.

Searching for childhood tea set: white porcelain blue flowers?
I'm looking to find a copy of the tea set I had as a kid or something close to it. It was white, had the most fantastic blue morning glories/cabbage roses/peonies on it, and it was all squared. It looked like some sort of jewel cut because the tea pot wasn't square, it was tall and faceted. All the little porcelain Saucer cups were faceted, and the saucers didn't have round edges they were like octagonal or something. It had four cups, a sugar bowl, a creamer, four saucers, four plates, and the teapot. It originally lived in this blue plastic molded thing (the flimsy colored plastic they used to package everything in in the 90's--all my action figure sets came that way) but that got a rip in it really quick. My mom said she either got it at like Toys R Us or in a catalog; I got it in the mid-nineties and it has since disappeared. If anybody has pictures of a similar set so I could try to find a "grown-up" version with a similar pattern or knows of a place where one could be bought, that would be awesome. I've tried search engines but no luck.

  1. Perfect for crushing dog pills and supplements to the point they can be easily hidden in dry or wet food.

  2. The mortar & pestle set arrived promptly, but the shape of the pestle face bit not fit well with the mortar bowl.

  3. This is a great design for crushing spices and herbs, or any time you need crushed black pepper. It doesn’t retain flavors, and is easy to clean. I find it easy to use, and gentle on the wrists. It’s also small and, at $6.99, quite cheap.

It doesn’t turn things into a powder well (that’s for a grinder) or make guacamole or pesto (a much larger mortar and pestle is needed); if that’s what you’re looking for, you need a different gadget.
