I think these dishes chip just looking at them. Not happy and looking for something else!
What is the oily stuff coming out of my Pfaltzgraff stoneware?
I noticed some of my new stoneware dinner plates were not drying properly in the dishwasher and out of curiosity placed them in a hot oven for pfaltzgraff Farmers a few minutes. To my surprise, they were 'sweating' an oily liquid and after a few more minutes they looked as if you burned cheese in them. Very weird. I noticed that some fine dark veins on the glaze, disappeared after this heat treatment.. The liquid being sweated out was coming out through these veins. After putting them through dishwasher again, they noy come out clean and dry. What could it be?
