mikasa English intelligent advice
30 June 2010

I love this dinnerware set. Being white it does not conflict with the color of the food yet the pattern adds interest and beauty. I also love the fact it does not get hot in the microwave like my Pfaltzgraff set did. It arrived quickly, was packaged very well and nothing was broken in shipping. The only drawback is the salad plates are too big for the top shelf of my dishwasher.
Can china, such as Mikasa, etc mikasa English be put in the microwave?

I was looking to replace my Mikasa dishes or add to my current stash, and found my pattern was no longer available. A whole new set would have been very expensive. I just needed plates and bowls. I have every serving piece they made. I order and rec’d on time and in excellent condition 8 new place settings. Free shipping and a super price made me make this purchase. I am considering getting one more set. My first purchase of Mikasa English country garden goes back 15 years… Many Thanks… K
I love this china–beautiful design and very well made. My only problem is 3 plates arrived broken and like the other reviewer, I thought how can I return only 3 plates–they want the entire ordered. Too heavy, too much work–so I went on Ebay and found someone selling just plates.
I ordered two sets-so I have plenty now for even a crowd!
I was looking for an all-white set of dishes but not the plain restaurant kind. This pattern has pretty flower, fruit, and lattice designs on the rim. The only negative is that the dinner plates are so large, they don’t fit in the dishwasher. I have to put them along the edge of the basket so that the spray arm doesn’t hit them.
I have owned this set for 6 years. It has been a workhorse. It can easily be dressed up or down. We have had just a few pieces break so I was looking for replacements. Since the Mikasa outlet near me has closed, I checked here. I decided to purchase the 8 piece set because this is a phenomenal price.
