The best china in a classic holiday style that is enjoyable to look at and to use.
Attic too hot for some storage?
I live in Central Florida, and while I've never been in my attic, I know it gets REALLY hot. I think we have some kind of vetilation - there are two long, black vent-like looking things on my roof, near the very top.My question is what can I safely store there? I have numerous totes lenox Holiday (like the Rubbermaid ones) and boxes filled with stuff we can't get rid of but do not need to access more than a couple of times a year. I would never even dream of putting a cardboard box up there, but are the totes alright to be stored in the attic? And what about what I put in the totes? We have clothes, material, paperwork, dishes, pots and pans, china/Lenox knick knacks, and holiday decorations (mostly glass, plastic, electric). I know that CDs, DVDs, and photos shouldn't go up there - that must be too hot for them. But what about everything else? Is the temperature up there enough to do damage to plastic?
