Complementing guides on Roses china

I ordered 2 kinds of radish sprouting seeds from Hirts. Both had around 5% of fungus contaminated seeds. 24 hours after watering, 5% of the seeds were fungus covered, the others were sprouting. This is not what you see on roots, the micro roots, no, this is fungus. I run 12 sprouting trays in parallel, with sprouts from different distributors. This was so far the only one with fungus! I had to throw all the seeds in the garden, including the rest of the unused packages. I suspect the source of the contamination to be the re-packing Hirts does. Seeds do NOT come in original manufacturers paper bags. They come in small plastic bags, the kind usually used for packaging screws in the hardware store. The bags might not be suitable for packaging seeds, and Hirts’ handling might lack hygiene. Just as a reminder, I never had any fungus before with any other seed distributors. All the other 10 trays with other distributors seeds running in parallel to these 2 trays show no fungus.
