The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars, they are a little bit big for cereal, but I still love the quality, the shape and style. They are very handy, look great, and I just love the entire set. The soup bowls just don’t cut it for cereal bowls, which is why I bought these, and am pretty happy I did.
how do i water a princess mikasa orchid? what type of container should it mikasa Fire be in?
i got one as a mothers day gift and it came in a wooden container. does it need a different one filled with water?

These are lovely cut glasses, each with its own individual design. For my taste, they are a little heavy to hold but that just encourages less wine poured into them.
My mom got these for me for Christmas. At first I thought they were just adorable! Since they were not “matching” but rather “coordinating” with 4 different etching patterns.
Then I noticed how HUGE they are. You can fit basically an entire bottle of wine into the glass, filled to the brim. Less refills
Honestly though, they’re completely fun and I’ve gotten a few compliments already from friends. The only thing I worry about is how thin they are, I am on pins and needles whenever I wash them.
I purchased these glasses as a gift. The designs are fun, and have a young feel to them. I was very disappointed when I received the package and there was one glass broken already. I returned them without any problem.
When I repurchased them again I had additional problems with easy breakage. While Mikasa has normally a great line and usually there are not any issues, I was very disappointed and will not purchase this line again due to their fragile nature. I know that any glass should be handled in a delicate matter, however, I do not think the craftsmanship was up to par on this particular product.
Apt name for a very cheerful, yet elegant, set of glassware. Excellent craftmanship. You won’t be disappointed, and your guests will be enchanted. Wish these were for me – I purchased them as a gift for my daughter. She is working towards the whole collection. Cheers!
The Antique White has two different table settings available. One with the rimmed soup bowls and a standard cup and saucer. That’s the one I got because I didn’t know any better and the sales person at Macy’s either didn’t know or care that the set I would have preferred had I known about it would have been the set that came with the cereal bowls and the Cappuccino mugs. So now I have both sets of bowls. Anybody want some cups and saucers?
We love these bowls. Our family eats a lot of stews and this is perfect to hold a large portion and keep it hot. In the shallower soup bowls, things get cold too fast for us. My husband likes these for cereal and oatmeal. They are on the large side so if you are looking for an average size bowl, this may not be for you. We have almost all of the Mikasa Antique White pieces and love them. They are very pretty and durable.
Last year for Christmas, I received the set of Mikasa Antique White Dinnerware to replace my mutt mix of Corelle. I always swore I would only have Corelle because of its durability and longevity as opposed to stoneware. This doesn’t feel quite as destruction proof, but pretty close to it. The bowls that come with the set are wide mouthed and I’m not particularly fond of them. These cereal bowls have a much better shape, but are still quite large. I bought my mom a set or the cereal bowls for her birthday and she complains that she can only stack 3 in her cabinet. I, however, don’t have that problem with mine and love using them for anything from a large bowl of cereal to making the perfect bowl of ice cream.
These bowls look nice, but I agree with the other reviewers; they are too large for cereal bowls. But they are just the right size for my teenage son with his huge appetite. I also use them for salads, vegetables, and as serving dishes. The bowls are very sturdy for everyday use and stay cool when heated in the microwave.I love them.The set arrived quickly and in great packaging. I am very happy with my purchase. Thanks Amazon.
We owned Mikasa dishes previously and wanted to stray from using china everyday to stoneware. What a big mistake! Not only did we donate our old china to Katrina victims, that wasn’t the mistake, but we became very dissatisfied with our Pfaltzgraff stoneware dishes very quickly. It stopped being microwave friendly and started being a burn hazard… who knows why. Anyway, we then purchased another stoneware pattern, yeah we were determined to have stoneware and that was our 2nd biggest mistake, but became unhappy with it for the same reason… who knew… they are supposed to be microwavable! Anyway that’s when we decided to go back to using china again and we decided on Mikasa’s Red Berries pattern. We were very fortunate to get it for a very, very reduced price and ended up purchasing a service of 12 for just under it’s MSRP of $134 for a 16 piece service for 4.
The quality is great, the pattern is simple yet elegant, has a nice weight to it and we use it everyday but we would not be against using it in a formal setting either. At $80 for a 16 piece set it’s a steal and we found it for $40… new!!! How lucky can you be?! If you’re thinking about it, get them! You won’t be disappointed.
I wanted to get something fun, unique and classy for dinnerware. These are just beautiful, we got them as a gift for our wedding and we couldn’t be happier. We have not used them but they are in great shape and are a great quality.
I just got this china set and it is so lovely. It is simple, but the painted cherries makes it look so delicate. I especially like the cups they are bigger than the ones that came from another set I bought. I love Mikasa and always wanted dishes from them, but they are always so expensive. I was glad when I found these and bought two set so I could have dishes for 8 people. I recommend this product. Delivery was good and the dishes came in their own box tightly pack so they would not break or bump against one another.
Purchased this dinnerware set as a Christmas gift for my parents, who are very particular. This set will be perfect for them because it is has everything they asked for: beautiful cream color with lots of interesting texture and very high quality. The neutral color can go with every tablescape. I got a great deal for this and free shipping is a nice touch. I would love to have this set for myself!
Do not buy these dishes the bowels are not sealed. They will absorb water instantly. The bowels will become a brownish tan which will not match the set.
Purchased this set over 4 years ago and have used daily without quality control, shipping, chipping, absorbing, or discoloring problems. In fact, my husband loads up the dishes in the evening in our dishwasher willy-nilly. Last year I purchased Mikasa Italian Countryside 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4 to add to my set as we were hosting a family stay (including children) for an extended period of time and I didn’t want to be constantly loading/unloading the dishwasher. I still receive compliments on the dinnerware. One of the features I really like in this dinnerware is the versatility when setting the table. You can use a wide variety of tablecloths, placemats, floral pieces etc and pull it off without a problem. Although creamy white the edge of the pieces have enough detail to be interesting without being fussy. I have brought a number of complementary pieces without problems.

I have been looking for a nice set of dinnerware for some time. I had seen this set before and liked it a lot. I love the off white because it works for any decor and any season, just change the tablecloth and accesories. The design is very delicate and elegant.
I found this at a great price in Amazon and ordered 2 sets. The shipping was FREE and they were delivered really fast and in perfect condition.
This dinnerware set is gorgeous! I am very pleased with this purchase, especially since it isn’t a ‘fad’ set of dishes, I can use them for years to come without them looking dated. They are classy and fresh.

I bought this 45 piece Mikasa set a little over 1 year ago. Now I don’t do a lot of entertaining, but I wanted dinnerware with a quality appearance. And I got it. What I didn’t know at the time, was how just well made these dishes were. If you have cats in your house, then you know what mischief they can get into. Two weeks ago, at around 4 in the morning, I went from sound asleep to immediately sitting straight up in bed. Why? There was a very loud crash coming from the area of my kitchen. Upon dragging myself out of bed and finding my way to the kitchen, I determined that the guilty culprit had disappeared, and was hiding. But his handiwork was left behind on the floor. He’d gotten up on the counter and somehow knocked onto the floor one of my dinner plates. To my amazement, it was all in one piece. There was not even a chip out of it.

I’ve had a lifetime of pleasure and beautiful table settings with Mikasa French Countryside and passed on the “tradition” to my son and daughter-in-law for Christmas. Due to the simplicity and superb quality they will have a lifetime of use and enjoyment with this set. The greatest aspect is the adaptability … tastes change over time but there’s no need to replace your dinnerware … it’s a wonderful staple that I highly recommend.

After seeing this china in a local department store at what seemed a ridiculously low price I came to amazon.com to check reviews on it. The glowing reviews convinced me this was the set of white china I wanted. And I got a nice 20% discount by purchasing it at that department store and getting their credit card…icing on the cake.
I purchased some other fill-in pieces here at amazon. I love this china. It’s clean design let’s my food do the talking. It goes in the dishwasher with no fear of something breaking. It looks great on the table even without food. And, judging by the other reviews here, I’ll have it forever.
One quick note: a couple of the reviewers here stated they had a difficult time removing the stickers from the bottom of each piece. It’s a simple matter to remove them quickly and easily. Stack up the dishes and set them in the sink in hot water with a little bit of dishwashing liquid. Ten minutes later those stickers all but fall off. They’d probably come off in the dishwasher but then might clog the drain filter, so I think it’s best to let them soak in the sink a bit and then wipe off the labels.
I highly recommend this set of china to anyone who’s looking for a clean design and everyday durability.
