Free efficient roadmap for rosenthal china

The plates/bowls/cups are all nice looking but I have a few issues: (1) food sticks to the plates pretty easily – like if you have anything sticky on it like rice or gnocchi, it’s hard to wash it off; (2) it’s kind of fragile – they break pretty easily (especially compared to Corning/Corelle which never breaks); and (3) the ergonomics on the cup is bad. It’s hard to hold the cup without it tilting to the left side (if you’re a righty). It’s hard to hold the cup without having your 3rd, 4th, and 5th fingers touch the cup, which is unpleasant when you’re drinking hot coffee.
where would I look to find out the history of Rosenthal China's Rob Roy pattern?
I know rosenthal china this pattern has been discontinued but would like to know when it was produced and where. A history of the pattern would bbe nice but I have no clue where to look.

I love these plates. From a distance, they look like simple, plain white plates, but up close, they have a subtle ring pattern which is slightly hypnotic and kind of makes you feel like you’re looking into the center of the universe (well, at least, it does me). I’m really glad I chose this pattern. These plates make me happy every time I look at them.
You see, the plates I have are the loft circle…same as this set, but the concentric rings (that one reviewer described below) go from nothing in the center to a more substantial and colorful ring patter around the outside, and they are a light green sea foamish color, not white. You can find these on replacements.com, but they dont have any of the size I broke. And they dont make them apparently, since they arent on Amazon.com — Grrrr.
All that aside, you will love this pattern even more when you see it. It’s less interesting in my opinion, more classic, than the loft circle I have, but the plates are very sturdy, really quite striking up close, and are extremely chip resistant and durable. Just be careful if you have a ceramic sink. I learned the hard way.
I bought the dinner plates, salad plates, deep soup bowl (for soup and pasta) and the 5 inch bowls for desserts. Really love the look of the set overall but one unforeseen problem prevents me from giving this five stars.
The dinner plates are deeper than one would expect and consequently, forks laid to rest keep slipping down into the food. Over time one learns how to balance one’s fork very exactly but guests might find themselves fighting with their forks.
I agree with the other user that utensils do tend to slide off the edges of the plates and bowls. I can get used to this. And, the mugs are a bit small for my taste in comparison to the oversized look of the plates and bowls. However, I don’t think these two imperfections–if you could even call them that–warrant this to be a four-star item. This set is high-quality, high design, and just fine for everyday use. I am overall very pleased with this set and will order any replacements if needed. FYI: this item was also solidly packed when shipped. No breakage here.
